Kids (and parents) need to be able to see how many stars or $ each chore is worth. If they see a chore is worth 15 stars then they might be more motivated to actually do them- otherwise all chores appear to have the same value.

If that would be possible then maybe one could sort by value to get a handle on where there are home run opportunities.
